Seven people have been arrested in connection with the deaths of rapper Kiernan Forbes known as AKA and his chef celebrity friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane who were shot and murdered outside the entrance of Wish Restaurant in Durban last year.
The suspects are due to appear in court on Thursday and police said the arrests include two suspects who were arrested in eSwatini on Saturday.
This will also give hope to Senzo Meyiwa family who was killed about 10 years ago as well as the family of Oupa John Sefoka known as DJ Sumbody who was killed in Johannesburg last year.
General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says investigations have revealed that AKA was the main target. “The main target was Kiernan AKA Forbes, he's the one that was followed from the airport, he was followed to the hotel, he's the one that was spotted inside the restaurant and the plan was not to shoot him the manner they did they were going to shoot him in the vehicle,” Mkhwanazi added.
