ANC Councillor Seriting Given Sello has embarked on ensuring that the ANC remains in power after the general elections this year.
Sello who is the Chief Whip of Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality led ANC volunteers across Lebowakgomo and surrounding areas to join his branch Solomon Mahlangu in Ward 18 to participate in voter registration campaigns over the weekend.
As a Ward Councillor, Sello dominated the streets of Lebowakgomo with green, black and gold with ANC volunteers from his branch including ANC members from other branches as part of adhering to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call to ensure that the ANC is not ejected from power after the general elections.
“The ANC is the only party that has emancipated our people from all forms of depression. We must never forget that it is better to die for an idea that will live, than to live for the idea that will die. We remain unfazed by small parties who are trying to remove us from power; however, we must do our part by registering to vote and emerge victorious after the general elections,” Sello said.
“We must not be standing at the touchlines to witness the game that we should be participating and playing. The revolution must not be televised but realised. We will continue to encourage young people that it is potent and imperative to have a voice by voting. They must rally behind the ANC for it is the only party that has thrived to emancipate the public from all forms of depression.”
With the IEC confirming that over 27 million people have registered to vote for the general election, Sello said the ANC as the ruling party is the only political organisation that has the best interest of the masses in the country. “We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the ANC remains in power. The ANC will continue to accelerate service delivery to our people. That is our top priority. The ANC will retain power because the people in our area have consolidated their support to the ANC,” he concluded.
