The ANCYL in Limpopo has called on its members to be deployed in strategic positions in the country. This was confirmed during their recent Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) meeting which was held in Polokwane this week.
The youth of the ruling party in Limpopo also said they are gatvol with the tendency of recycling deadwoods who are sleeping in parliaments, legislatures, councils and various boards of directors countrywide. They reiterated their call that they are demanding Dr Premier Ramathuba to appoint more young people in her cabinet and also calling for the ANC Limpopo PEC to co-opt former ANCYL provincial chairperson and Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure MEC Tonny Rachoene.
The ANCYL Limpopo said it reaffirms its commitment to the program of action of the ANCYL to transform the economy of this country and save the ANC from the new tendency hijacking our liberation movement. They emphasised that a call for industrialization of the economy and introduction of the people-based export quotas is a program of the ANCYL of all structures.
To make their point clear ANCYL Limpopo Provincial Secretary, Phineas "Boko" Sebola said: “We commit the call for young people represented in all corridors of power. The PEC reaffirms the call for all regional Chairpersons of the ANCYL to take over Municipalities they come from as Mayors. In the upcoming local government elections, we call for the following comrades to be mayors as per the Municipalities, Billy Pillay : Polokwane Municipality, Renny Mabuza : Tzaneen Local Municipality, Kanana Leokana : Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, Sydney Mathlare : Lephalale Local Municipality and Cde Rudzani Luambo: Musina Local Municipality.”
Sebola also told The Azanian that the Limpopo PEC has successfully completed a comprehensive three-day induction workshop. He said however that this capacity-building initiative aimed to equip PEC members and regional structures with the necessary knowledge, theory, and skills to effectively undertake their responsibilities and drive the organization's mandate forward.
“The PEC deliberated on the formation of committees and the PWC. The composition of the PWC is Faith Sebopela, Frans Motupa , Phineas Sebola, Frans Kgole , Dr Muvhuso Maimela, Letheba Raolane, Precious Mahlare , Odirile Moleseoa."
ANCYL PEC also has deliberated on its strategic intention to expand and intensify organizing work. Sebola said however that the ANCYL PEC has made a significant decision regarding Sub-Regional Elective Meetings.
“The PEC has resolved that all Sub-Regional Task Teams (Sub-RTTs) in the province must undergo an induction workshop, along with all branches in the province. This means that all Sub-RTTs will need to wait until the PEC, through the regions, communicates a schedule for their induction across the entire province…After a thorough examination of the series of events unfolding in Modimolle Mokgopong, the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) Limpopo PEC has made a determination regarding the area's dysfunctionality. Consequently, the PEC has resolved to dissolve the existing Sub-Regional Task Team (Sub-RTT) and establish a new structure,” ANCYL Provincial Secretary added.
“The Convenor of deployees in Waterberg, alongside the Regional Chairperson and Secretary, have been instructed by the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) to convene a special Sub-Regional Council meeting in Modimolle Mokgopong. This gathering will comprise Branch Chairpersons and Branch Secretaries, where the newly appointed Sub-Regional structure will be formally announced. This decisive action aims to restore functionality and stability in the region, ensuring the ANCYL's objectives and mandates are effectively executed.”
