ANCYL Peter Mokaba Regional Chairperson Billy Nadsan Pillay.
Billy Nadsan Pillay has been elected as the new ANCYL Peter Mokaba Regional Chairperson during its 9th regional congress which was held at the Peter Mokaba Stadium VIP Suite in Polokwane.
Pillay’s deputy is Rachuene Itireleng, Nchekge Percy Nchabeleng was elected Secretary and Raymond Makhura is his deputy and Treasurer is Millicent Sekonya.
The league has resolved to support John Makoro Mpe to retain his position as regional Chairperson of the ANC Peter Mokaba for the third term and also called for former ANCYL provincial chairperson Tonny Rachoene to be co-opted into the ANC provincial executive committee (PEC) in Limpopo.
Meanwhile, the region confirmed that its 9th Regional Congress also deliberated on various commissions and resolved on numerous issues affecting young people, which includes unemployment, economic development and issues affecting the organization.
They confirmed that the newly elected Regional Executive Committee is committed to tackling these challenges and advancing the interests of young people in the region. The congress declared unemployment as a disaster and resolved to fight for youth to be employed in the public sector and through private-public partnerships.
