Bolsheviks Party of South Africa leader Seun Mogotji.
National secretary general of the Bolsheviks Party of South Africa Seun Mogotji has called on Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality to refrain from paying ghost workers and overpaying employees.
He also confirmed that a certain committee member was overpaid R468 000 citing that the local municipality administration opted to subject to amnesia despite receiving complaints from his party.
“We have previously written on the 9 July 2024 to the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality Speaker enquiring about the overpaid ward committee member from Ward 1-8. Despite our attempts to engage and get answers on the issue the municipality has not bothered to respond to our questions. We have now learned that the municipality will be recovering portions of that money by deducting from the affected employees on a monthly basis,” said Mogotji.
“My problem is how are they going to recover money from resigned and dead employees? We know of at least three (3) who have passed on and an unconfirmed number of those who resigned but their names are still on the municipal payroll. Is the municipality really paying resigned and dead employees or is there an official who's using these people to defraud the municipality? We are calling for a full-scale investigation into this matter, R468 000 is a lot of money to just turn a blind eye, someone must be held accountable.”
Meanwhile, Mogotji has expressed his disgust over undocumented foreigners who are subjecting citizens to atrocities.
This follows after a 5-year-old boy from Ntwane was attacked by dogs owned by the Pakistani shop owner.
The tuck shop is situated a few meters from the main gate of Bantwane Primary School and kids go there to buy snacks, food and soft drinks.
“We remain perplexed as to why the dog owner is not locking up the dogs and letting them loose at night? Our kids are not safe, that Grade R learner will live with the psychological and physical scars for the rest of his life. The dog owners must pay for medical expenses to ensure the child gets proper medical attention, it’s the least they can do. Our kids are not safe, something must be done or more kids will be mauled by those vicious dogs,” Mogotji said.
