National secretary general of the Bolsheviks Party of South Africa Seun Mogotji has expressed his disgust over the Uyajola 9/9 show aired on channel 157.
Mogotji who wrote to Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has called on the producers to remove the show because of its toxic language and violence between couples who are having grumbles against each other.
He has also called for the withdrawal of the show urging Moja Love to take drastic measures against those responsible for production.
“The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa has views this show as a show that is serving no good purpose for the viewers and the people televised but only fuelling violence and hatred as it has lately appeared that the crew of the shoe tolerate and promote violence more especially gender based violence as it has appeared that the security personnel of the show have allowed violence to take place on the episode in question whereby they allowed woman to assault a man and if the man retaliated the worst would have unfolded,” Mogotji added.
“The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa calls for the withdrawal of the show and drastic measures to be taken against those responsible for the show as this incident brought out a huge public outcry and embarrassment to the measures that South Africa has taken so far to combat gender-based violence. The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa hopes its request will be taken into consideration for the best interests of the citizens and the well-being of the country.”
