Chief Whip Given Sello embarked on curbing crime with ward 18 business community

Business people from Ward 18 in Lebowakgomo at Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality led by their Councillor and Chief Whip Given Sello recently met in an effort to curb crime within the area.

They also agreed to accelerate programs that will prevent young people from being drug addicts and criminals during their meeting held at Lebowakgomo High School . Sello said the business community will make sport tournaments to motivate the youth to refrain from engaging in unorthodox tendencies. He also confirmed that they will bring in Aggie Makhura from Seshego who is more experienced in fighting drug related debacles from the community.

Meanwhile, Mpedi Phineas Mokgoba from Solomon Mahlangu Branch, Ward 18 in Lebowakgomo at Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality has been Tintswalorised after using his grant to start a baking business.

Makgopa known as Chef Manellies has touched the hearts of the Limpopo community when he refused to be subjected to unemployment but decided to fight and eject himself from engaging in criminal activities like nyaope smokers who are terrorising the public to feed their habits.

“Word of the day is that I started hustling with President Cyril Ramaphosa and his administration R350 grant.  I decided to buy baking flour, ingredients and started baking vetkoeks. I thank Ramaphosa’s administration and Lebowakgomo community for supporting my business. My special gratitude to my councillor Chief Whip Given Sello for his overwhelming support unreservedly. Thank you, President Ramaphosa,” said Chef Mokgopa.

Makgopa is a perfect example of the young people who chose to do something positive about his life rather than being involved in criminal activities.

“We want more young people to learn from Makgopa,” Sello said.
