Limpopo Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure MEC Tonny Rachoene steered the walk at the Limpopo Legislature in Lebowakgomo to check compliance on security measures and the National Key Point standards.
This is part of a provincial government monitoring programme geared to ensure that administration is intact. Rachoene was joined by the SAPS’s Head of Protection and Security Services Brigadier Malele, senior managers as led by the acting HOD Motlhanke Phukuntsi.
The walk also looked into matters pertaining to the management of the Legislature which falls within the prestige portfolio managed by the Department of Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure.
MEC Rachoene confirmed to The Azanian that the activity is part of the department’s #StakeholdersTuesdays engagement programme.
“It is potent and imperative that our security is intact. Our task is to ensure that security upgrades are fully implemented at our two national key points and we remain committed,” said MEC Rachoene.
