MEC Rachoene Enthused Minister Macpherson with Limpopo Theatre Project & Dikgerekgere Initiative

Gone are the days when sons and daughters of the revolutionary soil in Limpopo will have to travel to Gauteng and other provinces in order to reach their dreams as actors, producers, television personalities, vocalist, dancers and artists countrywide.
Their prayers were responded by Limpopo provincial government led by Dr Phophi Ramathuba’s 7th administration which gave blessings to Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure MEC Tonny Rachoene who heeded to the call of accelerating service delivery in Limpopo by ensuring that Limpopo Theatre is no more a dream but a reality.
The Limpopo Theatre construction site is at the Bakone Malapa Open-Air Museum outside Polokwane along R37. MEC Rachoene’s official announcement of the much-anticipated project by talent artists in the province including the up and coming, was attended by Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean William Macpherson who was impressed by the Limpopo Theatre which will cost about R400 million which will open more doors for arts and culture in Limpopo province.
Minister Macpherson who attended the first quarter meeting with MECs expressed his contentment to MEC Rachoene’s commitment to the project which is expected to be completed in 36 months. As part of Limpopo provincial government efforts to enhance people’s lives more jobs will be created to benefit various communities during the construction of the project.
Premier Ramathuba who also graced the project announcement said she is confident that the ever-green MEC Rachone is equal to the task. She said this project will benefit the communities of the Limpopo.

Minister Macpherson also witness the famous Dikgerekgere initiative piloted MEC Rachoene which has taken Limpopo by storm, changed the lives of motorists and different communities in Limpopo.
His department is continuing to prioritise strategic roads that are leading to various economic areas in the province. The D977 is one of such roads as it connects Polokwane with several villages in the Ga-Maja area in the Capricorn District.
Rachoene said: “Various other teams are working tirelessly from our 36 cost centres in making critical roads drivable. We remain committed in ensuring that our #DikgerekgereWednesdays reaches all our communities.”
The Limpopo Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Department mission of making a positive impact on unpaved roads and ensuring that communities are accessible has been welcomed by motorists and different communities across the province.
Earlier, the Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure led by the evergreen Rachoene continued with clean governance by engaging with its stakeholders on service delivery related matters, as part of the #Stakeholderstuesdaysengagement session.
