Limpopo Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure MEC Tonny Rachoene has continued his mission to accelerate service delivery to the people following his monitoring programme aimed at enhancing their lives without trepidation against all odds.
Rachoene’s first mission began when he monitored and visited Tompi Seleka College of Agriculture in Sekhukhune then continued with the department’s #StakeholdersTuesdays session in Polokwane.
Speaking to The Azanian, the hardworking MEC Rachoene said: “This is where we get to interact with our stakeholders who are in dire need of our services. Today we have interacted with five stakeholders to talk to them in terms of both our short- and long-term interventions.”
He confirmed that together with his delegation of the department met with representatives of communities affected by the D1958 from the Mokgalakwena Municipality, D3200 affecting communities in the Greater Letaba and Greater Tzaneen Municipalities, D5017 in Thulamela, the D2405 from the Fetakgomo -Tubatse and the D3685 also from the Thulamela Municipality.
MEC Rachoene said: “The department has immediately activated its #DikgerekgereWednesdays service delivery initiative which will see our teams blading and regraveling of the roads to make them drivable, while we are seeking a long-lasting solution which implementing paved network infrastructure.”
Earlier, MEC Rachoene raised Limpopo flag high following his engagement with different stakeholders during the “Investing in African Mining Indaba” sessions recently held in Cape Town, the Western Cape. This was his mission to boost the economy of the province.
The evergreen Rachoene led a delegation comprising of RAL's Accounting Authority, Moses Tseli and the acting CEO, Makhitha Chesane as well as management on an engagement with Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA) leadership on the sidelines of the “Investing in African Mining Indaba”. It is this kind of contribution by Rachoene that continues to give hope to the community of Limpopo.
Rachoene urged different stakeholders as part of his undertaking to bring them on board to invest in Limpopo province, particularly on Infrastructural development initiatives.
