Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi has emerged victorious after Pretoria High Court dismissed Mthunzi Mdwaba’s application against him on Friday.
This is another blow for Mdwaba after he has requested documents however his application was struck from the roll earlier.
The court will also be hearing an urgent application brought by Nxesi to stop the R5 billion payment to Mdwaba's company, Thuje Holdings. This follows after Mdwaba accused Nxesi and other high-profile politicians of trying to solicit a bribe.
The High Court in Johannesburg last week ruled that Mdwaba's allegations against Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana were unlawful and without substance.
