USA President Donald Trump tyrannical leadership heckled

American President Donald Trump.

Narcissistic controversial motormouth USA President Donald Trump who was heckled by the Democrats during a disorderly joint session of the US Congress for the first time since he returned to power declared so called “the American Dream unstoppable”.

The Republican president who was hoodwinked by his forces of gloom such as Afriforum and Elon Reeve Musk over the South Africa’s Expropriation Act, 2024 by has moved to tear the federal workforce and crack down on immigration, while imposing tariffs on America's major trading partners and shaking up the intercontinental alliance over the war in Ukraine.

BBC reported that following a second day of market turbulence, Trump played down the potential economic fallout from a trade war he ignited this week, including 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada, and an additional 10% on Chinese imports.

Trump however received mixed reactions even from his Republicans who didn’t give him ovations, said: “Tariffs are about making America rich again and making America great again. And it's happening. And it will happen rather quickly. There'll be a little disturbance, but we're okay with that. It won't be much.”

In relation to the tension between USA and Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump announced that he received a letter from Zelensky who offered the olive branch on social media a day after Trump paused all military aid to the beleaguered US ally.

As expected, Trump continued his criticism over his predecessor, Joe Biden for wasteful expenditure on African countries such as, South Africa, Lesotho, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique and Uganda who were benefiting from US aid.  He took a swipe at Lesotho saying that the country is relatively unknown which “nobody has ever heard of” despite receiving $8m (£6.2m) to promote LGBT rights.

Early on Trump name-checked his billionaire adviser Elon Musk, who was watching from the gallery.

The tech mogul's Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) taskforce has moved to fire tens of thousands of federal workers, cut billions of dollars in foreign aid and slash programmes across the US government.

Despite mentioning Musk who was watching from the gallery and publicly honoured by his ally Trump who hailed him as a hard worker, in the chamber, Democratic lawmakers held up signs saying, “Musk steals” and “false”. Trump said “Thank you, Elon. He's working very hard. He didn't need this."

Meanwhile, AfriForum chief executive Kallie Kriel who went to meet Trump, and his administration said he was unfazed about high treason charges filed against the lobby group however he reiterated his call for the Trump administration to sanction President Cyril Ramaphosa and other ANC leaders.

“I will not be having any sleepless nights regarding the complaints of high treason against AfriForum as these complaints are baseless,” Kriel said.

He claimed: “Certainly a court case would also provide a platform for AfriForum to show that the people that are really disloyal to this country and its people are ANC leaders, through their irresponsible policies and their corruption.”

The head of public diplomacy at the department of international relations Clayson Monyela said high treason charges were filed by private citizens and a political party, not the ANC or SA government.  Monyela further said the police are under legal obligation to investigate & hand over the file to the NPA which will decide whether the state can prosecute.

President Cyril Ramaphosa last week said: “I understand AfriForum and Solidarity met with US government representatives, doing exactly what we as South Africans have agreed we should not do." Ramaphosa said this on the sidelines of the G20 finance meeting.

Mineral and Petroleum Resources Minister Gwede said the organisation, which has accused the South African government of targeting the Afrikaans community and genocide has an 'anti-transformation' agenda.

Mantashe has slammed Afrikaans lobby group AfriForum, labelling it an “anti-transformation programme”.

He lambasted for their visit to the White House accusing the South African government of targeting the Afrikaans community and genocide.

“Afriforum is an anti-transformation programme driven by the hope that apartheid will come back.”

Mantashe urged people to mobilise against AfriForum to stop them from further harm to the country.

“It is an attack on the country and everybody must be concerned. We must mobilise our people to confront right-wing mobilisation.
